On stage this weekend: The golden age of wireless comes to Coulsdon Community Centre

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the BBC Light Programme, Theatre Workshop Coulsdon presents an affectionate look at the Golden Age of British wireless. An evening of original light entertainment, one-act plays and sketches nearly all written or adapted by members of TWC, along with live music and songs from the period.

With a stiff upper lip and a little tongue in cheek, our tales of plucky public schoolgirls in peril and bold spacemen taking on evil invaders from Venus, of eerie ghosts and devilish murder mysteries are set in a studio and enacted as a radio show might have been.
